In a more advanced position than the nave, the new altar (table) facing the people, is realized in agreement with the renewed liturgical norms. It has much more essential lines, more sober, certainly not luxurious but still elegant, recalling the Eucharistic theme of the Table: the table around which the Christian family gathers to eat the Eucharistic food. On the front side of the table, marble statues of several saints and doctors of the Church stand. At the centre, in a gilded bronze plate, the burning bush that Moses saw on Mount Sinai is represented: the sign of the presence of the living God sends Moses to save his enslaved people in Egypt.
